Upgrade it to around 400hp or higher, give yourself the full 55* of steering lock (D1GP Steering), and play. The car comes with a tune thats already good enough, and is one of the easiest cars to drift.

If you want something that handles at least slightly more realistic / earthed / provides more feedback try SP Mod, with the 180sx probably being the easiest car in the mod.
