A simple, yet, useful way to improve your stability when playing on Multiplayer, this will help to reduce ping.
1. Go to your rFactor directory
2. Open UserData
3. Open the folder that has your driver name on it (Ex: PhantomEagle)
4. Open Multiplayer.ini
Once inside the multiplayer.ini file:
5a. Set your Downstream and Upstream speed to the same values. (xy/xy , or let's say; 100/100, this depends on your speed, you can try doing a speed test on speedtest.net)
5b. RaceCast Auto Login="0" (This will prevent the game from trying to log in RaceCast).
5c. Auto Join Chat Server="0" (This will prevent the game from trying to connect to the Lobby Chat, Lobby Chat takes up a lot of bandwidth as RaceCast does; you'll still be able to chat in the server that you're playing on, as it's the Race Chat, not the Lobby Chat).
5d. Max Data Per Client="100" (This won't force your bandwidth to process too much data during the game. Improving stability).
That's all you have to do, in order to improve your speed, as your bandwidth will be focused on the server that you're on, not on the other stuff that dosen't have to do with the server itself (Lobby Chat, RaceCast).
