After joining many onlinedrifting sessions, I have came to a conclusion that a lot of individuals do not use or have not even heard of this thing called a "brake" pedal. It also seems like they think a car on rFactor can only do one thing, and that is full speed drift. Little do they know, that cars in rFactor can actually drive at a slower speed behind another player, even perhaps not sideways. It's a very hard skill to tame, but when mastered, stopping drift and driving behind someone becomes second nature and very simple to use. When you do this you have a couple of options. The first option is to slow down to create enough of a gap to where you can resume drifting, the other option is to safely pass somebody on a straight. Now, before you can use any of these newly discovered techniques, you must first ask yourself: Where is the brake pedal? What does it do once it is depressed? The brake pedal is directly to the left of the throttle, and in some cases, directly to right of the clutch. As seen in this picture: Now start practicing taking your time around a track offline, and then move to online when you think you're going slow enough. Thank you for your time
