Today's changes: (hasn't been touched since October.) -Fixed several areas of the chassis model to better suit a bumperless / fenderless car. -Fixed several areas to better accommodate changeable parts; exhaust, windows, door line, etc. -Added 2 VIP wheel conversions from Forza: Work Euroline DH, Lexani LT-704. -Reworked every fender model after discovering an inaccuracy (wew).
I'll just...keep chugging away at this once every year...
EDIT: -Recreated the car in-game, will be trying to create the car with a different method that should allow for more customization with paints/paintjobs/window tints/window stickers. -Working on a gutted interior model.
I probably did more work than was needed with the interior, so it's taken quite a while. Still need to do minor detail work, add the steering shaft going into the firewall, add a mess of wiring, create a gutted door model, and a new gear stick / ebrake to go with the interior.
I may be consistently biting off more than i can chew with this car, the amount of tuning options I want to try and accomplish will probably end up breaking the game
Also don't worry about performance of this mod, it loads up in the game like a champ. You can stuff a track full of 30 of these and it still won't catch much lag, and I have no idea why. Let's hope that stays the same until the final builds.
This one was done back in October, but here's the Mission 1700mm wing from Gocha's S15
Today's progress was mostly more work done to the gutted interior, added steering shaft/boot, main dash support bar-n-mounts, ECU, and a shifter model which fits correctly under the default dashboard's shifter allowing for modable shift knobs. To clarify, your tuning options will be:
Dashboards: -OEM Dash -Dash Delete
Shift Knobs: -OEM Knob -Some random bunch of custom dildo knobs and w/e else
So yeah, the list looks empty right now but eventually it'll fill up with mods. You can change a lot of little shit; Ebrake, pedals, knob, the interior mirrors (and outside eventually), and YES, wheel color will be a universal upgrade that will work on all wheels in the mod. I found a pretty efficient way of changing object colors without having to duplicate large files, meaning I can cut down on the mods overall size immensely, while being able to provide a much larger amount of customization. The only downside to this method is that the changes in color can only be seen on-track instead of in the menu.
There's still a lot to fuck around with on this game tho, so all of this could be changed even further if I find even another even more efficient way.
Unfortunately the one major downside to doing things this way is that if you were to join a multiplayer game with other S15's, they would all share the same wheel color. In order to be able to have different colors on each part / model, you must change it's material. What I was doing was just changing the material's texture between upgrades, instead of the material itself.
I'll try and find a way around this, but I doubt one exists; basically this just means I'll probably have to do it the normal way which will take up a lot more disc space, and offer nowhere near the amount of options I was planing
last few days have been very slow moving. I put most of the parts in the game, fixed a few more bugs here and there. Glad to report all of the bodykits look very sexy. Learned more about tricks you can use in the .gen and .ini files, but most of my time has been spent figuring out the best use of shaders for the interior of the car, referencing other car mods to see what they used and which have the best result, and fixing existing shading problems. I never want to touch this shit ever again.
Also created gutted doors to fit the gutted interior upgrade, next will be creating variations of door cards and cut/'tubbed'/hollowed doors.
hahahja its not that bad now is it lol wel im not an expert at all anbd im am noobing around with my own mod but only thing that i didnt really had problems with was with interieur shaders lol i do not say they now look like the best they can but good enough for me tho ... but ........... seems like your mod is comming along veryyyy nicely ... looking forward to whenever it might get released and if not i ermnjoyed watching the build sofar so got that in the pocket ahahhaa
